Another protection partnership for Lutine as it signs up Portmore Life

Lutine Assurance Services, the life and protection arm of Ryan Direct Group (RDG), has signed an agreement with Portmore Life, part of the well-established Portmore Group, to provide group and business protection for Portmore’s commercial customers.

Andy Coles, business director for Lutine, said the latest partnership, which follows a similar recent deal signed with broker Aston Scott, is another step forward in Lutine’s plans to agree distribution deals for specialist life and protection products through intermediaries.

He said: “Lutine is backed by high quality Lloyds paper to target SMEs with sub-100 employees, where the key person often has no protection if they suffer an accident, or where the management want to offer staff life and protection benefits such as accidental death or health cover.”

Portmore director Stephen Goulter said: “Making these specialist products available to our clients is part of our commitment to understand and deliver on their precise needs. As a supplier of niche products, service quality is key for us. That aligns with Lutine’s approach and was a decisive factor in our signing this partnership agreement.”

Goulter said the team had already started writing business and the partnership was now fully on stream. “We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship,” he said.
